Oh, nice. I was hoping to see a nice tutorial put together. Finally bought pro a couple days ago and am really eager to try this out on one of my models. :D

Will it be extended to mesh or height based orthomosaïc in further version ?

Hi All,

Glad for the new delight tool really promising.
I would like to share my result on a Sphinx statue with hard shadow and one stone color use AO map as a support map for more sufficient result.
Still need some work from the Agi team i notice the shadow is a bit exist and i got a light green color on the sphinx hand/back Snapshot 001 and 005.

Also see snapshot 004 i expect from the team to explain what these setting dose?

Thanks,
Mohammed

In foreseeable plans it wouldn't be implemented. However, what kind of shadows do you want to remove? If you mean hard shadows cast by buildings - they also can't be reliable removed in current delighting tool (but we plan to improve delighting of hard shadows in future).

Thanks for sharing! Currently delighting tool doesn't support hard shadows delighting, but you may get better results with Aggressive preset. (Also please try to delight with Multi color + Default preset and Multi color + Aggressive preset)

Advanced parameters are not expected to be changed, because they are not user-friendly as you can see. However, they are configured when you are choosing preset. If some combination of values in advanced parameters will improve some general use-case - we will add these parameters combination as new preset.

In your case preset=Aggressive will lead to Internal blur=None and this will help to avoid green-lighting artifacts, which are caused by hard border of shadow.

This feature is currently only in the professional version? Are there plans to roll this out to the standard editions as well? I just bought standard last week but feel sort of shafted now. It seems like delighting is becoming a standard part of the photogrammetry workflow with several other packages on the market.

I also think the delight feature should be included in Standard. Delight is a feature that is especially usefull for 3D Asset creation which is the target usergroup for the standard Version. Limiting it to pro is not a wise choice I would say.

Hello brandonc3d and holgar,

The delighting feature is currently available only in Professional edition.

However, you can put your suggestions in the following thread:
http://www.agisoft.com/forum/index.php?topic=2264.0
We'll take that into consideration for the future updates.
