Wondering if either of you have had any luck with this.

Nice job Alexey!  it worked great.

I think there is opportunity to enhance the analysis capabilities of Photscan with this sort of feature.  I don't think a full featured reporting tool should be built into Photoscan.  But, using the drawing tools to create shapes to use for map analysis is likely more efficient for some projects then exporting the data to another application to process it there.  Combining the analysis data with the shapes for export to dxf or shp provides the best efficiency for many basic projects.

Again, thanks for your work.

Merry Christmas!

Wow.  Thanks!

Here is an example of what I did manually to transfer the measurement data to the shape attributes.  The more data transferred to the shape attributes the better, but for volume the 'best fit' base plane option is the most common.

FID,N,11,0   LAYER,C,10   NAME,C,2   base plane,C,7   cubic mete,C,7
0   Stockpiles   01   best fit   6.861
1   Stockpiles   02   best fit   49.623
2   Stockpiles   03   best fit   44.958
3   Stockpiles   05   best fit   15.347
4   Stockpiles   04   best fit   357.641
5   Stockpiles   06   best fit   245.041
6   Stockpiles   09   best fit   115.142
7   Stockpiles   10   best fit   89.562
8   Stockpiles   11   best fit   600.516
9   Stockpiles   12   best fit   795.372
10   Stockpiles   07   best fit   158.394
11   Stockpiles   08   192.050   648.010
12   Stockpiles   13   192.050   456.621

Thanks again!

Hello Alexey,

Everything in the 'Measure Shape' report pop up window would be valuable.  IF all the data could be saved to the shape as attribute so that it can be exported with the shape that would be very helpful

Producing a analysis report is usually done completely outside Agisoft, but for some simple analysis I'd like to produce the analysis based off shapes created within Agisoft.

Thanks

(edited to reference adding the data to the shape attributes)

General / reporting tool for measurement data

Hi,

I have been creating shapes over the foot prints of a large number of stock piles.  I would like to produce a report of the measurement data from these shapes.  Is this an option from within the software?  (if not, ***Feature request***)  Has someone produced a Python script?  I don't want to learn Python just to save me the time of manually transferring a few hundred sets of measurement data.

I look forward to hearing what the community has on this.

Thanks,

Michael

Is there a good solution for a GPU optimized cloud based virtual workstation that would process large photo sets quickly?
Also, does the machine need to be OpenCL based or can CUDA machines work?

Thanks

Thanks BobvdMeij, I am not using GCP yet.  I am optimizing my process without GCP then optimizing using GCP so I can demonstrate the difference.  I did notice that the drone heading remains constant during the mission.  I hypothesized that this may have something to do with the issue once Alexey led me to focus on the flight planning software.

I’ll post more as I learn more.

I understand now.  It's a way of isolating data that may be inaccurate from the calculation.  That leads me to believe that the problem was with the application that I used to plan the flight mission.

I used DJI GS Pro for the flight that had the strange errors.  I also flew an adjacent area at the same time using Pix4Dcapture with no problems.  I'll research those apps.

If you have any suggestions for the best method to acquire the images using a DJI Inspire 2 please let me know.

Thanks for all your help Alexey!

I am still wondering why changing the camera accuracy to 2000 degrees is needed to produce more accurate camera locations.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Alexey,

Here are two generated reports.  One with the camera accuracy at 2 and the other at 2000.  There is a difference in optimized camera locations and it is dramatic.  Can you explain why and how I should use these settings to maximize camera locations so that I can get the best precision from my flights, both with and without GCP?

Thanks

Yes indeed.

Hi Alexey,

Are you referring to the reference settings?  I have left them as they were by default.

Hello,
I have just begun using PhotoScan Pro.  I am confused by the camera locations report on an area I flew to test the software.
Please help me out if you have experienced this unusual error pattern

Thanks
