Feature Requests / Re: Photoscan Professional "Artist" Edition
« on: March 31, 2018, 12:57:21 PM »
- Optimize Alignment
- phyton scripting
- markers (for automatically scaling and orienting a model)

and delighting

For me, hands down the most necessary feature (else I go to unity or wait for CapturingReality to implement it)
Optimize Alignment and markers also of interest, but not so critical for my purposes.
If the question is, would I be willing to pay more, I definitely would, though I would hope for more moderate increase - ie. ~ 300.

Bug Reports / texture creation fails to exclude masked areas
« on: November 28, 2017, 08:19:02 PM »
Hi guys,
I'm suddenly encountering a scene where - despite all the images being masked - the masked areas are still appearing on the generated texture. I've seen old thread issues with this, I'm on 1.3.4 build 5067.

Is this a known issue? Other things I can try?

Very excited about the new features, most of all the de-lighting function which I would not have access to. Hope you reconsider not including it in the base version, as it's exactly what game artists / asset-creation needs (I suspect more than the average pro user), and not including it just pushes us more into Unity workflows.
Anyway, congrats and looking forward to upgrade!

General / udim import?
« on: August 05, 2017, 12:34:47 PM »
Hello!
I've read that there's an UDIM export option now, but I'm unable to import a mesh with laid out udim uvs. Any tips?
My workflow is: photoscan > export to modeling software > model / uv layout > imprt to photoscan > generate texture with 'preserve uv'.  This works great with one udim layout, but I'd like to get this going with more.

Thanks in advance, and sorry if I've missed the solution elsewhere.

edit:
forgot to mention that I've tried import formats : obj, dae, fbx
I'm not 100% sure if I need to do something in my modelling software so that one of these formats perhaps 'informs' photoscan that there is a second udim?

Haven't read all the posts here, apologies if it's already been reported.

- I LOVE the selection tools. VERY useful. Thanks!
- the batch process doesn't seem to be working. It will spend all of the time calculating but not write out any files. I would like to see this working - of course - and also a batch process across numerous files. ie: 1) set up alignment and area to process for x files 2) determine the batch parameters and then 3) launch > it would then work through one file after the other

Thanks again. Great to see this work being done!
