Hi,

I have a weird problem.

I have a professional license. But when I run script from the command line (on windows7) as below, it always start the photoscan without license, i.e. in a demo mode.

photoscan.exe -r <scriptname.py>

Does anyone know how to solve this? Many thanks!

General / Re: Does adjust brightness actually change the data?
« on: February 15, 2018, 11:39:09 AM »
Hi Alexey,

Thank you for your reply. I'm a bit confused about your sentense "Brightness adjustment doesn't have any effect on the orthomosaic generation". I got the feeling that if visualization of my data is better (brighter, shows more details and constrast) after brightness adjustment, the stitching works better.

In an extreme case that I've tested :  If I don't do any brightness adjustment, the visualization of my data looks completely dark, showing no objects/features at all. If I just do the ordinary workflow on such data, the alignment step fails completely. Is it normal?

Does it mean I should always adjust the brightness to the level which shows as good "quality" as possible? (I mean the results images should be sharp, have better contrast, clearer features, etc.)

General / Does adjust brightness actually change the data?
« on: February 14, 2018, 07:30:49 PM »
My input data is 16bit uint and the intensity values are in the range of [197, 2338] instead of between [0, 255]. When the data is loaded into PhotoScan, I need to adjust the brightness to visualize it. But no matter how I adjust, automatic or not, the images look blurrer than those I load with imageJ.

Is this step ("adjust brightness") only for visualization or it changes the values of my input data for following stitching processing?

If it changes the intensity value of the original data? How exactly is this step is done? Is it simple scaling over all channels or it scales based on one master channel?

Maybe, do I need to change the format and scale of my input data? Which format and intensity range does PhotoScan prefer?

Many thanks!

Hi Alexey,

Thank you for the reply.

I'm a bit confused how come that such a few matching lines are presented in the aligned photos. Shouldn't there be a link between the number of valid matching lines (blue) and the alignment? Let's say, if photos are aligned, there should be at least how many blue matching lines...

Camera Calibration / Explanation of Report?
« on: February 02, 2018, 04:24:19 PM »
Hello,

In the Report of the calibration, for each parameter, there is "Value" and "Std Error".

I'm wondering what are these values and how Agisoft Lens got these values.

Is it like: Agisoft Lens ran a few times on randomly selected subsets of my input photos and calculated the mean (as the "Value") and standard deviation (as the "Std Error")???

If it work like my above guess, how many photos does it choose for each run?

Many thanks in advance!

General / Re: how much points are enough to generate the dense cloud?

Hi,
Could it be that your region is misaligned, and thus won't cover your area of interest? This has happened to me multiple times.
Hi Erik, thanks. My frames are very close to each other with 80% overlap. So, it might not be the reason you mentioned?

General / how much points are enough to generate the dense cloud?
« on: January 31, 2018, 01:29:19 PM »
Hi,

I have 4 images with dimension of 512X272. All of them are aligned. There are 3,659 tie points. But I failed to make the dense cloud. Could anybody give me some hint why it is failed to generate the dense cloud? What can I do about it?

Many thanks!

General / Questions about View matches in PhotoScan
« on: January 31, 2018, 12:53:35 PM »
Dear,

I've aligned some photos. In the "Photos" panel, right click "View matches". Then I see red and blue lines. What does these lines represent?

Red for fault matches and blue for correct matches?

For some of the aligned photo, there are only a few lines presented, but there are many obvious features like corners, patterns. How come there are so few match lines?

Which measure does Photoscan use to judge whether the matches are correct?

General / Re: how to create tiff input from hyperspectral array
« on: October 11, 2017, 12:55:19 PM »
Hi Gall,

The tifffile module from Christoph Gohlke is exactly what I used to create the multi-channel tiff from my 3D array. But they are  multi-pages instead of the single-page as required by Agisoft. I still couldn't generate single-page tiff which one FID contains multiple images. How should I set those paramters? It seems some of them are also related with each other.

Any one could help, please?

General / how to create tiff input from hyperspectral array
« on: October 03, 2017, 04:13:35 PM »
Hi,

I have 3d array (python) containing hyperspectral data created from raw data. Two dimensions are the image space and the 3rd dimension are different bands. I need to create a single-page multi-channel (each channel containing one band image) tiff file as the input for Agisoft, but I always get results of multi-page multi-band tif.

Does any one know how to create the correct tiff file using python?Any recommendation of softwares, packages or parameter setting will be appreciated.

General / how to open exported Orthomosaic result?
« on: October 02, 2017, 12:16:22 PM »
Hi,

I've obtained a orthomosaic result and exported it as tiff. But which software should I use to open/view it? I tried with imageJ and some other image viewer.

Hi Alexey,

Thank you very much for your answer. I only have one question left from previous post:

1. What does the direction and length of the lines (blue and red) mean? I see they have different length and directions.

Yuqian
