Hi Yasouros

Read email please...

Hi

Yes om Admin on RC forum + training customers for proper workflows for  photogrammetry and laser scanning data capture and processing + a bit in development of RC on features side :D

So in short there is NO  all around solution so there is no "universal solution"...

For the  Acute mess.. they blocked me out of their forums almost 2 year back, when have asked SIMPLE questions about AGI vs Acute result comparison dataset :D :D :D :D
My account is blocked and when try to register  they identify my IP ( name + email )  and BLOCK me out....

From my testing  Acute is "good" for aerial dataset, NOT so good for close range, small stuff, fullbody or  etc.. For the speed, from my testing its quite SLOW on my dual xeon PC + 2x Nvida cards....  But its quite interesting for really big datasets when you have a farm of computers.. but the  price... its quite expensive vs  performance... but yes it can process large dataset on  "ordinary" PC.

But regarding RealityCapture, its  approx 4-5 times faster as Acute.. +  Acute customers say RC have superior results regarding mesh quality in general so they switch to RC..
( even power users of Acute are slowly switching to RC :D  )

Hi Tunkali

Get a airplane and good fast SD card and get plenty of images, best if can do  multiple height levels

If possible send me info on the area so can better say what lens and camera will need to solve it...

its a problem of the 3DS max material = look for ALPHA channel settings

set 200k in detection and use just 20k tie point limits = you set to detect lot of features but use just 10 % try set tie point to higher number 50-100k and report back

Hi Artisan S

yes have right on few points but can say its about EXPERIENCE  and knowledge of the proper workflows

some videos from  very nice results where can see clearly the workflows are the key for great results...

and as we are on the Russia sw webpage, will post something that is related to Russia :D
its a RAW results no post and still not final product of scanning

Pastouf, aligning 1200 images take mostly 10-20 mins in that solution. aligning 56.000 x 36 Mpix images take aprox  9 hours...   mostly 40k/20k detected used points...
