Hello Mr.Vain,

Seems like the coordinate information for the cameras is incorrect, which leads to the alignment issues.

You can try to align the images from scratch having the cameras unchecked in the Reference pane and apply the coordinates after alignment is completed - and you should see very big errors on camera locations.
For me is seems that coordinates are assigned to improper cameras (like 5 cameras shift between actual coordinate assignment and correct one).

Thank you for sharing the provided screenshots, however, they do not include information regarding the reference system used in chunk.
Can you specify, what systems are used in the Reference pane settings dialog for chunk, cameras (if checked on) and markers (also if checked on)?

Wrong coordinate system for the first orthomosaic could be caused by some unexpected errors in the workflow, for example, in the Import CSV dialog for the marker coordinate data load instead of EPSG::28356 another system has been used accidentally (EPSG::20356). So the project has been referenced in that system since GCPs import and by default orthomosaic has been also generated in that system, considering that coordinates of the markers are defined in that incorrect system.

What settings for the image matching/alignment do you use?

Most likely the problem that you are facing is related to the big number of images being aligned in the same chunk. Usually we recommend to split large projects for alignment purposes by 70,000 - 90,000 images (numbers may  vary depending on image resolution, color depth, reference information and etc.).

Can you share the screenshots of Initial and Adjusted tabs from the Camera Calibration dialog?

If possible, please also share problematic project with the alignment results (in PSZ format) to support@agisoft.com.

Hello Venaria,

If you are using Windows, please check, if you are able to run the application from the command line using additional parameters, try the following options:

Code: [Select]

metashape.exe --opengl angle
metashape.exe --opengl software
metashape.exe --opengl desktop

If one of these options works, it would likely mean that the problem is related to the GPU drivers.

Hello djyoung,

Are you checking on cameras in the Reference pane after adding new folder at step 3? If so, then shift between alignments after step 3 and step 1 seem expected, as different reference data is used for these cases.

Probably the issue has been related to the incorrect on-image coordinates used for fiducial marks due to wrong 2D coordinate system convention used.

Please specify the processing parameters that you are using and resolution of the images in pixels.

Also please confirm that the project is saved in PSX format before the Align Photos operation is started.
