General / Re: Adding (Manual) Tie Points in Photoscan

Hello BobvdMeij,

Then you need to reset the alignment for the cameras that are incorrectly aligned and use Align Selected operation for NA (not aligned) cameras.

Optimization of the incorrect alignment will give you even more distorted model.

Hello BobvdMeij,

Markers do not require to have their coordinates input in the Reference pane (and be checked on there). If marker has more than one projections, it will be used as a valid tie point during Align Photos or Align Selected Cameras operations.

Hello Leigh,

Can you make a photo of the BSoD, if there's any information about the address related to the issue? Usually BSoD is related to the hardware issues.

Hello davidsumner,

If you switch to anaglyph stereo mode would you be still observing the similar issues, or they are related to the hardware stereo mode (even if it is not active)?

Hello lapinchatware,

After placing the mask vertex (when using Intelligent scissors), hols Shift on the keyboard and navigate with the left mouse button to the area of interest, then release Shift and place next vertex of the mask.

Hello Shepah,

According to log dense cloud generation took about three minutes (1 for depth maps and 1.5 for depth filtering). Whereas mesh generation takes about 10 minutes.

Depth filtering and mesh generation currently are utilizing CPU only.

Hello Leigh,

Have you submitted the crash report? If the problem can be easily reproduce, please submit the crash report and put some comment to it, so that we could find it (like link to this thread).

Also I can recommend to check the RAM using Memtest86, as memory failures are quite often reasons of the crashes during the memory intensive operations.

Hello ArnsTronic,

Camera accuracy (in meters and degrees) should correspond to the measurement accuracy (providing that you have loaded the orientation angles information to the Reference pane). So for 2.5 precision you can input 0.025 m.

Ground altitude can be skipped, if you have regular vertical aerial survey. If use, it should represent the average ground surface level above ellipsoid in the selected coordinate system.

Marker accuracy can be left as default, as you don't have markers. Tie points accuracy - you can leave it as default also - 1. Or take the reprojection error value from the Chunk Info dialog after the initial alignment is finished.

As for the parameters, I think that High accuracy would be fine. Key point limit can be used from 40,000 - 80,000 interval, tie point limit - from 10,000 - 40,000 interval. The lower values here (40k, 10k) are commonly used. Use preselection (Generic + Reference) to reduce the processing time.

Dense cloud generation quality effects on the DEM resolution and surface detail level that you can achieve.

Hello andyroo,

Can you send an example of such TIFF file that you are using?

Also please specify, if the fourth band that you are adding is aligned with RGB image and has the same image resolution? In case the sensor for the fourth band is different, you need to use multispectral approach, using either multipage TIFF (opposed to multichannel) to load the RGB and single channel data from different folders simultaneously via Add Folder option.

General / Re: Cereals corn flake scan
« on: June 21, 2017, 01:46:16 PM »
Hello Lionelc,

Originally I was thinking that you are scanning the box or a can of the corn-flakes, and no the flake itself.

The problem of aligning the two sides of the thin object could be solved by additional matching points from the background (like Fred has suggested). Just keep in mind that the additional element of the scene should be well textured with some irregular pattern to provide high number of the matching points.

General / Re: questions in the parameters?

Hello ahmed KIMOO,

The meaning of the parameters of the Workflow stages is described n the User Manual:
http://www.agisoft.com/pdf/photoscan-pro_1_3_en.pdf

I think it should answer on most of your questions, if you require additional clarification on some points, please let me know.

General / Re: Multispectral Export.
« on: June 21, 2017, 01:40:41 PM »
Hello Saket,

I think you can use Raster Calculator tool and set single output band from the Red band, then export Orthomosaic using Raster Transform -> Index Value option.

Hello Mr.T,

I don't have much experience importing polygonal models to Microstation, so not sure, if the issue is on the export or import side.

How many polygons are in the models that you are exporting?

Hello NR1168,

Can you open the same exported raster in GIS applications, like Q-GIS or Global Mapper, for example?

Also do you have issues with importing the results to Photoshop, if you export the same orthomosaic with considerably lower resolution (for example, 1/10th of current size)?

Hello JanneJansson,

For NVIDIA cards it is necessary to download CUDA drivers for Mac OS X, as they are not included to the default driver package.
