Point cloud

After aligning on high i get sparse point cloud, correct?
After that stage i can export points directly, are the export points settings equal to build geometry settings?

Will dense/medium pointclud export give me the same points per square meter as if i would have gone through build geometry steps?

Hello Peter,

If you export sparse point cloud - you get only points. If you build the geometry using Point Cloud reconstruction method you'll have mesh, but it's vertices will not be equal to the points in sparse cloud.

The number of vertices in mesh actually depend on the number of faces used as Face Count value, whereas number of points is dense cloud can not be controlled in current PhotoScan version.

Ahh, ok. But i mean if i build geometry with, say sharp and medium will i then get dense point cloud?
