Batch process: Model Export
« on: October 11, 2013, 04:25:33 PM »
Hey guys!

I downloaded the trial of your program and all i can say it's awesome!

I have one question tough about an issue that keeps haunting me.
I've tried to enter every possible path for exporting models via batch process. And the process keeps failing. I even tried keeping i on default "{projectfolder}/{chunklabel}.obj" but no avail.

Is there anything i have to do before i set the program to do that? Or do i have to enter the path in some special way?
Of course keeping in mind that i already reconstructed the mesh and textures.

Thanks in advance!

I got the key for the trial from the agisoft website. It says it's unlocked for 30 days. I have no problem exporting files "manualy" via drop-down menu File -> Export model -> etc...

The problem begins when i try to export files via the batch process menu.

Dear VR,

Could you please copy the output you've got from the console pane when you try to export the model in Batch mode.

I can create an error by using the default {projectfolder}/{chunklabel}.obj when the project isn't saved anywhere yet, or by specifying an absolute path to a folder that doesn't exist, otherwise i can't make it fail! i'm using pscan pro pre-release build 1754.

The console just prints this: "Finished processing in 0 sec (exit code 1)".

And gives me a yellow triangle (meaning failure) in the batch process window.

Edit: So that i don't double post.

I reinstalled the program after i ran the installation via "Run as admin..." . And everything works fine and dandy now. Sorry for all the commotion.

Cheers!

So how is the path then exported? I have the same issue and don't know what to enter as export. I want to produce .ply-files but how do I name them? Does PS give them numbers?

Hello sitzsack,

And have you tried the default option "{projectfolder}/{chunklabel}.obj" ? The exported models will be named as chunks, so please check there are no duplicate labels.
