locally untextures areas
« on: July 11, 2011, 12:22:30 PM »
after photo alignment photoscan sometimes shows a local group of points which are (sometimes very) biased,

is it possible to manually delete this biased group of points (locally)? So that the geometry building process is enhanced?

The problem that I'm facing is that I have black spots in an textured image (which are not holes).

I think that sometimes steep dip or a large peak is mistakenly created, but also if these steep dips and peaks are expected results, texture will not be be build on these local areas.

when used for an orthophoto, biased dips and peaks are not that problematic, but the black patches are.

is there some kind of solution to this? texture interpolation?

see attachment for examples,

thanks!

Hello!

We suppose that black regions can't be seen from any photo. So there can't be texture on them. Extrapolation may be a solution and we'll discuss it.
