Gradual Selection as part of the batch process...
« on: April 22, 2014, 10:14:26 PM »
I hope this has not been requested already and I didnt see it.
It would be very helpful if you had the chance to select an amount of gradual selection when preparing for a batch build.
Lets say you already found that a number of 0.9 or 1.1 on the gradual selection works for you most of the times, then you could set it on the batch project right after the sparse cloud creation.
Thanks.

I could really make use of this option, too! Please?
Having run hundreds of models of similar objects with similar data capture, I found that I always end up with the same parameters for the same variables, so if this option was available in the batch queue I would save a LOT of clicking :)

Hi !

Indeed, it should be a very pleasant option !

Nevertheless, Gradual Selection should be possible with Python Scripting ! As it's quite basic tool, I guess only a couple of lines may do what you want. Then you would be able to include this small script into your batch.

I've never had the time to spend to use Python Scripting. But so powerful it looks, such problem should be easily solve with a 3-lines-script !

May Alexey give use the command to be used ?

+1.

Also, a  keyboard shortcut for Gradual Selection would be welcome :)

Hi Alexey,

- Would it be possible to know if the requested option is under study ?

- As well, when using current Gradual Selection tool, the soft start the tool by evaluate the tie point cloud for the Reprojection Error criterion. So, when dealing with huge data-set (6.000.000 tie points), it takes some times to firstly evaluate the point cloud for this criterion before we can select the criterion we want. It would be nice if, when we start this tool, the criterion is set on "nothing" so that we don't have to wait for cloud evaluation if we want another criterion than Reprojection Error.

Hope to have been clear :)
