Hi, I made a model of a church, which looks great in photoscan, mapped and as a wireframe but when I try to export in 3ds max the result looks like low poly ...tried 3ds, obj and some else.
What precision should I take, what is the best file format?
Any help appreciated!

You should be getting the same number of faces in your exported model as reported in Photoscan.

Thats right. 3DS Max shows the correct numbers of polys, but its no difference whether I export 1.5 Mio or 39.999.999 Mio ...the result in 3ds Max is the same...like the mesh had the modifier "smooth"..no sharp edges and not detailed. The mesh in photoscan looks much nicer.
I tried 3ds, fbx, obj ..all te same.

Hi Sould4U

if want, upload the dataset and can generate it on ULTRA for you.... can post screens form 3Ds max to see what you mean with low quality ??

Could it be that all your polygons are all set to the same smoothing group?

Did you try setting the smoothing groups using an angle of 30 degrees?
