Radiometric Calibration
« on: November 08, 2016, 01:37:10 PM »
Hi.

It would be great if you add the possibility to radiometric calibrate camera as is done for example in Pix4D software (Camera, Sun Irradiance and Sun angle calibration). I think the most interesting solution is calibration based on image target (white board).

There is more info: https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/203891879#label1&gsc.tab=0

Best regards.

+1  We have a need to conduct radiometric calibrations as well, particularly for the Micasense RedEdge camera.  Thanks!

Please include the radiometric calibration option in the latest version of Photoscan! We do need that features for our research purposes.  :(

Hello,

We are working on radiometric calibration implementation in PhotoScan for MicaSense RedEdge and Parrot Sequoia cameras. Also there would be a possibility to use the irradiance information form the image meta-data.

Check Tetracam's cameras too because they are very popular http://www.tetracam.com/Products1.htm. On the other hand they have their own software to image processing called PixelWrench2 http://www.tetracam.com/Products_PixelWrench2.htm.

Would you have an estimated time for when these features (Sequoia integration) will be available?

Hello pk,

Radiometric calibration of MicaSense RedEdge / Parrot Sequoia cameras would be supported in the version 1.4. I think that pre-release will be available in the beginning of autumn.

I see that the 1.4.0 pre-release indicates radiometric calibration plates as an option, any info on how to do that? I couldn't find any info on that.
