help for a new workstation configuration

hello i'm newbie of photoscan, and neeed some help to configure my new machine.

at this time i've a desktop with i4790, 16 gb of ram, and gtx 960 and it's not goog for  work with photoscan.

i've a budget around 3000,
the base of new configuration suggest is

MB Asus Z10PE-D16 WS
CPU: Dual Xeon  E5 – 2620 V4 8 core
RAM: 64 GB DDR 4 ECC 2400 Mhz
HD1: SSD 850 EVO, 500 GB
VC: Asus TURBO -GTX1080TI - 11G.

Hello Giuseppe,

The CPU frequency is very low, so it may be reasonable to get top desktop i7 with the highest frequency and 6-8 cores, rather than using dual-Xeon configuration based on the slow CPU.

We are using the following setup that we recently purchased, total price came down to slightly over 3000.

CPU: Intel i7 Core 6850K (6C, 3,6Ghz)
RAM: 64GB (4x 16GB) DDR4-2400
GPU: Dual GTX 1080
SSD: 250GB
HDD: 3TB

we choice this congiguration
