Cluster Processing

Hi, i have this kind of question, in cluster processing is it possible to calculate project in LAN or over internet too?
im getting error :  'cant connect to 433.44.12.44 (ip)'  numbers are for example.
computers that are in same building are working fine together, but other computers that are not physically in this building  dont work. and gete me this error. 
i would appreciate some help if anyone knows whats happening

Hello velocity20,

Network processing nodes should have access to the network server and network storage. It means that computer that is running server should have external IP address, if it's not in the same network with the nodes.
