Support only one CPU?
« on: March 23, 2018, 05:57:54 AM »
I have two multi-core cpus that run with one CPU at work and another with almost no load. How can I get multiple cpus working simultaneously?

my cpu working NUMA mode and os it's windows server 2016 ,Does this require a special design?  https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa363804(v=vs.85).aspx

Hello ruyi7952,

We have tested different multi-CPU configurations, and PhotoScan processing is not limited to only one CPU from the system.

So I think that there are some system or even BIOS settings that are not allowing the full use of the computation power to the application.

Hello

NUMA treats a CPU as a node, and multiple cpus as multiple nodes. The Linux system was set up, but I didn't find Windows. Is your test hardware a NUMA architecture? Is the operating system Windows?

Hello

I looked up some documents, NUMA architecture single node maximum 64 logical processor CPU. Even if the BIOS shuts down the NUMA function, you can't break the limit.
Refer to the change log for SQL Server.
Performance issues when more than 64 logical processors are used in Windows Server 2008 R2.
Need photoscan to make some improvements?
