GEOIDS

Hi guys,

the GEOID settings should be improved a lot and better documentation should be written on that matter.

Also, it must be get clearer how the transformations takes place and when the new settings are applied,
I am using Photoscan more than 5 years and still there are a lot of dark corners on these matters...

The user should be able to set different datums (Horizontal & Vertical) for the cameras and the control points and maybe different project datum (the datum of the results...).

A scenario that I found tricky to solve was:
1) Camera with onboard RTK GNSS saving geotags in WGS84/ellipsoidal heights (sensefly eBee plus - SODA)
2) GCPs measured for assessment of the results in EPSG:2100 and EGM2008
3) results needed in the GCPs datum

Hello ptokmaki,

In the latest version of PhotoScan Professional (1.4.2) you can set individual coordinates systems for cameras and markers in addition to setting the "master" coordinate system to chunk. But in this case either both systems should be based on the same datum, or the transformation parameters TOWGS84 should be defined for both of them.

So in your case you can try setting cameras coordinate system to WGS84 (EPSG::4326) and the system for markers and for chunk - to EPSG::2100 (or to modified system with the vertical datum). Note that you can set up the datum transformation settings also via Reference pane settings dialog.
