Title: how is the scale bar used on the image

Hello,

Can some one explain how the scale value is used when you have laid out 8 scale bars in the image?

Is the scale average applied as one number or only a local value?

Hello Patrick,

For scaling and referencing purposes Metashape is using all the checked on instances in the Reference pane (markers, cameras, scale bars) with the weight assigned by the accuracy parameters.

Generally speaking, when multiple scale bars are used, the scale applied to the model would be chosen in such a way, when the error values are minimized.
