Title: Showcase: Textures.com scans
Post by: wojtek on September 11, 2019, 02:04:54 PM
After seeing a similar post here I figured that we might as well contribute too :)

All scans on Textures.com (with the exception of foliage/atlas scans which use custom software) have been made using Photoscan/Metashape.

Here are some examples of the excellent quality we manage with this software:

wojtek,

Your library of textures is one of the best out there. Great work. What is your process to seamlessly tile them (Photosop, Substance Painter, Artomatix?).

Agisoft should really start promoting/showcasing more of the content created with Metashape because its direct competitor is really going full steam doing this this past year and many potential user falsely think that RC is the definitive go to solution now for creating scanned assets.

Hey Mak,

Thanks for the kind words :)

I built a set of custom tools for Photoshop that I use for making the materials. They allow me to edit multiple maps with perfect alignment while also respect the height map properly.

I don't use any 3rd party software for this work (no painter or artomatix).
