Post by: nachogi73 on April 04, 2013, 11:57:11 AM
Hi all:

I?m in troubles with 3d pdf export.

When I export a model whithout introduce coodinates of checkpoints everything is fine.

But if I recalculate model whith accurate control points and then export model in 3d pdf, the pdf file don?t work fine: when move the model it shake with a terrible effect.

Any idea?

Thanks

Hello nachogi73,

Please make sure you've selected "Local coordinates" in the Export Model dialog.

Probably the coordinate system in the Ground Control pane settings dialog is not defined correctly in the correspondence with the coordinate system of the GCPs.

Hi again and thanks for quick response:

In the export dialog box The Local Coordinates opci?n is fixed and I can?t change it.
I?m working with survey points taken in a local coordinate system with a total station.
So in both options (control point pane and export dialog box) I choose Local coordinates.

My problems begin when recalculate with GPCs

I don?t know what to do...

Hello nachogi73,

Could you please share some screenshots (or send them on support@agisoft.ru) including Ground Control settings dialog, Ground Control pane - Source and Errors tabs for markers/cameras, and sparse point cloud model overview.

Sorry for the delay in responding:

Could ypu explain how can I get this Tab?:Source and Errors tabs for markers/cameras.

sparse point cloud model overview: just a screenshot with the point cloud?

Thanks.

PD I ordered a trial few months ago (September 12) and I have installed right now to test the software, so I have a few days to see results.

The mentioned tabs can be displayed in the Ground Control pane - the next buttons after the Settings from the right on the Ground Control pane toolbar.

Yes, just it, but with cameras turned on and axis orientations.

Hello nachogi73,

Thank you for sharing the screenshots.

Could you please try the following: specify the real world coordinate system in Ground Control settings (as I assume it is UTM projection) and export PDF again.

Hi again and thank you:

It?s work fine.

I change the coordinate system to the UTM projection that I use with survey points, (in the settings dialog box in ground control pane). Just click ok and no recalculate anything.
Then I export the model y pdf format with Local coordinate system (option in the Export dialog box).

This is a very big big soft. Congratulations!!!
PD I?m in process of testing several softs in this matter (Photoscan is the 3rd.) and this is the most valiable, Speedy and intuitive.

Hello nachogi73,

Nice to hear that it works correctly now.

Seems like the problem was in too many digits in local coordinates for PDF viewer.
