Title: Select points by shape

I'm looking for a way to split a dense pointcloud into multiple pieces, which can be done manually by copying one to a new chunk and then using Tools > Dense Cloud > Select Point by Shape
However, when I look at the python API I cannot find this function, is it even there at all?
