Title: Import TIF file to other programs
Post by: lukGEO on September 14, 2020, 02:03:17 PM
Hello!

I have problem with tiff file exported from Agisoft.
Early I exported orthomosaic with Agisoft 1.6.1 and 1.5.2 to TIF file. After that I importred this tif file to polish program EwMapa - I don't have any problems with import.
Now I exported orthomosaic with Agisoft 1.6.4 to TIF file and I can't import this file to program EwMapa -some error in file.

I opend old project (1.6.1) in Agisoft 1.6.4 and exported orthomosiac to tiff file. Program EwMapa opened and import old tif file but not import tif file from 1.6.4 version.

It's some new alghoritm of export to the tif file?

Just a data point.  An ortho from v1.6.4 opens right up in QGIS v.3 for what that's worth. Maybe the problem lies with EwMapa.

Hello lukGEO,

You can try to switch off some additional options during the orthomosaic export:
- write alpha-channel,
- TIFF overviews,
- tiled TIF.
Probably, EwMapa cannot work with some of these.

Thank You Alexey.

I exported ortho without checks:
- write alpha-channel,
- TIFF overviews,
- tiled TIF,

the same problem.

After that I exported ortho without check "Write Big Tif File" and EwMapa imported TIF!
Also I exported with checks
- write alpha-channel,
- TIFF overviews,
- tiled TIF,

and without check "Write Big Tif File" - this setup works too!

Thank You for help!

Hello lukGEO,

Glad to hear that it works now.

BigTIFF is an extension of GeoTIFF format which is not commonly supported by image editing / GIS applications.
