Title: Thermal Reflectance Map from RJPG Images
Post by: Santiago on October 01, 2020, 06:56:23 PM
Hi,

Does anyone know if I can create an accurate thermal mosaic derived from RJPG XT2 images? I need to create a Thermal mosaic for solar panel inspections, but I need the accurate thermal pixel number to be maintained in the mosaic. Has anyone managed to achieve this?

Best regards,

Santiago T

Hello Santiago,

R-JPEG is not currently supported in Metashape.

I can only suggest to use single band TIFFs converted from R-JPEG files for processing in Metashape.

Different person, same issue. I will try to convert it to grayscale tifs. Altough real RJPG support would be great.

Hello,

I have the same request. I'm trying to use the RJPG files generated by a DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced. Here is one sample picture (RGB and IR) taken with the Drone, perhaps that helps to try it out during SW-Development:

Thanks and kind regards,
Sebastian

Support for R-JPEG would be great.
Anyone has a comprehensive tutorial for making a thermal mosaic from R-JPEG converted to TIFF for use in Metashape?
Cheers
