Title: Tiled model altitude
Post by: MichalDV on June 29, 2021, 04:21:08 PM
Hello,

we have a tiled model but we need to change altitude it sits on to be compatible with our height coordinate system used here.
By default it seem to have height above ellipsoid, but we need it to use height above geoid.

What is correct process to update this? (I rather ask question before I experiment and reprocess all data for few days.)

Thank you,

Hello MichalDV,

Please check the following article which describes the steps for compound coordinate system definition:
https://agisoft.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000148332-how-to-use-height-above-geoid-for-the-coordinate-system

You can experiment in the project copy or using just small subset of images in another chunk, before you apply it to the original chunk. But the modification of the coordinate system wouldn't affect already generated tiled model. Just note that if the original reference information has been input properly (according to the coordinate system selected in Reference pane settings dialog), then you should probably use Convert Reference option to transform all the reference points and generated products (mesh, dense cloud, tiled model) to compound coordinate system.
But if the reference information has been already measured in the compound coordinate system, then you can just switch the system in Reference pane settings dialog.
