Title: [SOLVED] creating large mesh stuck at BuildModel.facesMerge / decimating seams

Hi, I'm processing rather large mesh, and during processing, at last 99.5 % overall progress it got kinda stuck at BuildModel.facesMerge / decimating seams.
First it consumed a lot of RAM and Pagefile, but since I have like 5 TB of pagefile it did not run out. Suddenly after few hours it emptied all allocated RAM, and now it is doing nothing, so 0 ram, 0 CPU, no disk activity. Should I wait or what to do?
It has happened twice in row and it is last bit of processing before it is done.

Last item in log is:
decimating seams...
25049214/2325036307~1% seams vertices, 86601676/2325036307~4% vertices near seams

Updated to latest 1.8 - works fine now.
