Title: Bbox rotation
Post by: caioll on July 07, 2022, 09:39:08 PM
All,

I have been working on Metashape for small plot research. In general, I crop the orthomosaic in smaller images that correpond to each one of my plots. This is the first time I have had this issue but I am having some trouble with the bounding box lately.

Since my plots run on a diagonal in relation to the north-south axis this year, I am having trouble cropping the images. The Metashape.Bbox() function only accepts minimum and maximum coordinates and then crops a rectangle using those vertices. Is there a way to rotate this rectangle so it will fit my plots?

If there is a way of doing that, would it be possible to generate a bounding box using all four corners from the plot? As opposed to the top-left and bottom-right corners.

Thanks!

Hello caioll,

you can just draw a polygon on your ortho and use as outerboundary when exporting the ortho...
