Hello,
I have a set of 454 42 MPix images that I am trying to align on following system:
2023-03-13 13:33:32 Agisoft Metashape Professional Version: 2.0.1 build 15925 (64 bit)
2023-03-13 13:33:32 Platform: Windows
2023-03-13 13:33:32 CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz (laptop)
2023-03-13 13:33:32 CPU family: 6 model: 58 signature: 306A9h
2023-03-13 13:33:32 RAM: 16.0 GB
2023-03-13 13:33:34 OpenGL Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
2023-03-13 13:33:34 OpenGL Renderer: GeForce GTX 670MX/PCIe/SSE2
2023-03-13 13:33:34 OpenGL Version: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 425.31
During the matching points phase, the program exits without error. I would like to know if something can be done to remedy this. It seems i could align such size datasets previously....
I attached the Windows error events I could associate with this occurence...
Hope to hear from you,

Hello,
Specs of your system are a bit weak to process 19 GPix
from the log: "A TDR has been detected. The application must close."
The error is the TDR, essentially a timeout that prevents apps using the GPU for long time without telling the system.
You can try to disable the TDR or setting a longer delay by following this document https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/display/tdr-registry-keys

Hello Paul,
According to .evtx the problem is related to GPU - NVIDIA driver crashed.
What processing settings you are using and whether you have the latest NVIDIA driver compatible to your GPU installed?
-
Hi Alexey,
my driver for my old Nvidia GTX 670MX is up to date as there are no longer any updates for these...
I am processing using 42 Mpix images at high accuracy, 50000 keypoints and 5000 tie points limits...

Hello Paul,
Can you share the log from the task start up to the unexpected termination?
-
Hello Alexey,
sorry but I do not have the corresponding log. I did reinstall the NVDIA driver 425.31 and set use CPU in GPU processing and now I can align the full set of some 470 images...
So maybe it was the driver (though it is the same since 2019) or the CPU optin but everything seems OK now,
Thanks for your help,
-
Hello Paul,
Ok, good to hear, that it works now.
Maybe some driver settings have been affected somehow.
