Title: About accuracies
Post by: d.portillo@habitatea.es on February 18, 2014, 01:31:25 PM
I've doubts about errors in PS:
In Ground control setting for "marker accuracy", I don't understand exactly its meaning I think is the RMS (x,y,z) of GPS measures.
Are the errors on Ground Control Pane the accumulate error on GPS measures and photogrametric process?
I think understand errors for profesional use is essential.
Thanks Agisoft team.

Hello d.portillo,

Marker accuracy parameter is an accuracy of the measurements performed. So you can input the accuracy of device used, or even slightly better values (lower numbers).

Errors in meters in the Ground Control pane represents the difference between Source (measured) values and Estimated by PhotoScan and doesn't include measurement errors (they are used during optimization/georeferencing to assign weights). Total Error is RMS error.
