Hi AGI team, the effective overlap is calculated from the ammount of ALIGNED points on the surace ?

Hello Wishgranter,

from my knowledge the effective overlap is the mean number of projections of each point in the sparse point cloud.

For an effective overlap of 5, each point in the sparse point cloud is visible or matched in average 5 photos.

How PhotoScan calculates the effective overlap? and what is? In the "Show Info/ Point Cloud"
