Nice, I wonder if that is something related to the scanning side or actually replacing your hair with another pre made one from a list? I think it might be that, a system to replace you hair with any other one of your choosing that will get applied automatically and conform to your head?
But one way or the other, is cool.
I will make my best to assist Siggraph this time :)

Hmmm, hard to tell from the brief description, but it could be a combo of both perhaps. Seems to be describing something a bit more synthetic, though.

Robust Hair Capture Using Simulated Examples
Introducing a data-driven hair-capture framework based on example strands generated through hair simulation. The method is structurally plausible by construction and ensures improved control during hair digitization, avoiding implausible hair synthesis for a wide range of hairstyles.

Are you guys going to attend Siggraph? It would be nice to get a list of people attending so that we can  meet somewhere.
We could actually do a Photoscan meet or something?

No Siggraph for me this year.
The tradeshow is going smaller and smaller each years and the Vancouver one is always smaller than the LA's ones. Even if Vancouver is great city! :)
