hi, when i import .obj files into other 3d software it looks much worse than in photoscan, ( see attachments in this case its vue 2014. i have the same result in meshlab. i understand my photo capture isnt great, is this normal or am i doing something wrong?
any help appreciated
Thanks

Vue, renders the mesh and use SHADOWS - nonflat surface of the model - shadows.. in AGI there are no SHADOWS generated.. try switch in AGI to the SOLID display mode , its the BLUE icon next to the SHADED mode.. the colorfull pyramide.....

ok i see thanks, so the only way to get it looking more realistic like the photoscan view is to have better capture with less movement, and clean the mesh up in other software afterwards correct ?
thanks again

I think you can also turn the light off in meshlab
