Thanks for replying! well that shouldn't be windows 8 issue, but I got this error when I install it:

"the installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. this may indicate a problem with this package. the error code is 2503."

any thoughts? appreciated!

I've heard of somewhat similar problems with some other software due to the "Compatibility Mode" being incorrectly set for the software as requiring Windows XP emulation. Apparently this can occur during installation if a problem occurs and the user clicks yes to a question asking if Windows should resolve the problem. The solution is to manually change the compatibility mode. I don't know if this is your problem.

Hi, I've tried Compatibility Mode but still not working now I re-installed Windows 7 and it works.

But anyway, much appreciate for all your help!

Perhaps I should have been clearer. The problem may be PhotoScan trying to run in compatibility mode. If so the solution is to make changes so that it does not try to run in compatibility mode.
