Title: Need some help
Post by: Adze84 on August 01, 2014, 02:53:11 PM
Hi, I am looking at using this software for my work to create 3d models of the inside of pipes and was wondering if anyone can tell me if it will work. I have a special inspection camera with wheels that I drive into pipes. It had fisheye lenses front and rear and takes photos every 5cm. The software then stitches it together to create a 360 panoramic picture similar to google street view. The software stores each image individually as jpgs. It also saves tilt/inclination information so I can plot the rise and fall. I don't have any access to roll information as the camera does not use this.

So is it possible to use this software? If so how accurate will it be. The image circle of the fisheye is 1040 pixels. Pipes range in size from 150mm to 2 meters.

Thank you for your help
