Title: Measurement in VIEWER
Post by: Darko on November 19, 2014, 12:27:55 PM
Hi,
To make a Viewer useful for the end customer, there is a need to install a set of measuring tools.

Best regards,
Darko

Hello,
This seems to me to be very important feature so, please, answer me.
Do you plan to include it in your future release of Agisoft viewer?

Best regards,
Darko

 Hi,

You haven't done anything on the Viewer since it's been implemented. PLEASE, PLEASE ... Make it better and include some measuring tools like distance and coordiante. And make separate installation, please.

That would make it perfect tool for our clients.

Best regards,
Darko

Title: Distance measure and/or scale bar in Viewer

When sharing archaeological models in the TLS format among collaborators who do not have Photoscan or 3d editing software, it is very important to show the scale of objects. A scale bar or a distance measuring tool in Agisoft Viewer would be greatly appreciated!

Agisoft Viewer 1.7.1 allows for coordinate and distant measurements via Ruler tool.

Slope & 2D measures & 3D measures & azimuth (in case of  coordinate not local) would be awesome.
Do you plan to add more tools?

Hello flyzk,

Some additional measurement tools would be added in future updates, as Viewer functionality would be extended.

For example, in the version 1.7.2 we are planning to add the Basemap layer support (similar to Metashape) for the georeferenced datasets. Also support for DEM, orthomosaic and shapes import and display (over the globe in 3D) will be added.

Hi Alexey,
thanks for keeping update ! features of measuring / displaying is very important for us.
We need: profile , slopes, distance 2D 3D for our customers.
Another point we would need is a "basic" way to digitilize / export (using the same SCR)  some layers of vectors drawing using Viewers.
The point is: our customer need solution to use (without knowledge) quickly DEM/Orthophoto/3D/LAS.

Please continue to keep us informed about any feature you add (and you plan to add) for displaying/measuring with Desktop Viewer and Cloud Viewer.
At the moment, the features we need are still not implanted.
Thanks.

1.7.2 version of Agisoft Viewer now support area, profile and volume measurements (similar to Metashape functionality accessible from Measure Shape dialog).

 8) Thanks Aleksey,
You've done some serious job with the Viewer. Separate installation is here as well. You've been listening to us, great.
Can you provide some manual for it, please. I have tried to vectorize couple of lines but don't know how to rotate the view while in the Draw mode. Also, as I see my models are below the ground level of the base map, how can I correct it? I might know the reason since my geoid datum is about 42 meters below the ellipsoid but how to correct it? There is also the question of the 3D stereo view? In this version I cannot use the Vertical split and set my monitor/TV to 3D side by side view as I used earlier and it was working fine with my polarized glasses. I used to make presentations with it for the audience since I have 12 pairs of those glasses.
Thumbs UP.. Thank's again on your effort.
