Hallo,
I'm using Macbook Pro Retina 2014 to render some project. Without change setting of openCL and core, the process was successfuly done until textured.
But after I choose to activate Intel Iris on OpenCL, an also decrease the core to 3/4, it crased by densecloud process.
But in the Log window, it show that PS detect intel iris.
The question is, can I use intel iris as OpenCL?
Because I thought it will be much faster to render densecloud with opencl activated.
Thanks and hope for some advice

Hello DBeagoez,
Could you please provide complete log file related to the problem? In case you can also reproduce the crashes, please send the crash report with some description.

Ok thank you.
Too bad i can't use it.
By the way i've made some benchmarks regarding hyper threading during dense cloud reconstruction.
On my system (3615QM) i just have to follow your advice and disabling 1 core (2 threads) to maximize computations:

I also have a MacBook Pro 2014 w/ a 2.8GHz Intel Core i7, with 16GB of Ram and a GeForce GT 750M 2048GB Graphics card with the the latest iOS installed...It will align the photos no problem but when I want it to build a Dense cloud it crashes.

Hello DFlores6073,
Please uncheck any integrated graphics devices in the OpenCL tab of PhotoScan Preferences dialog, like Intel HD Graphics or Intel Iris Pro.
-
Sounds good Ill let you know what happens...The odd thing is that it was working fine with both the above checked, nothing changed but all of sudden it started crashing
-
I had the same problem and it was driving me crazy! Just started today all of a sudden -- Photo alignment worked, dense-cloud made it crash immediately.
The solution of un-checking Intel Iris solved it. Thanks!!
