Next stage in Photoscans evolution?
Use HDR surface capture to provide the BRDF (material reflectance properties reconstruction) data for physically based rendering.
i.e. Quixel’s Megascans http://www.quixel.se/dev/megascans (http://www.quixel.se/dev/megascans) is an example of such a library of scanned data.
.. this method/paper below would only need a single extra photograph to have all the data to work? (A photo of mirror sphere (or 360 pano) a paired to a solved photo's position giving light direction) ...all the other methods i can find would need multiple lights with polarisers on the lights.

Have Agisoft tested these possibilities yet, and why it might not work?
