Title: Pitch, roll, yaw ,in geotagged photos, are they used or not ?

Will such data help in any way if available ?

I am also curious whether or not uploading yaw, pitch, and roll data into the reference pane for the cameras has any effect on the processing. Has there been an update on this topic since http://www.agisoft.com/forum/index.php?topic=370.msg1540#msg1540?

Recovering the pitch (camera gimbal angle) and yaw (platform heading/camera direction) helps significantly in obtaining proper alignment on images.

Roll for a gyro-stabilized UAV camera on a gimbal should always be zero.

At least for DJI products where the altitude in the EXIF data is so far off, also adding the height above ground from the flight log makes for more accurate and repeatable geo-referenced ortho photos.

By including theseveral data values you can then set the accuracy value for each camera much lower, and in my experience Photoscan doesn't have as much difficulty finding common points in adjacent images

I create a camera parameter import file that defines lat, lon, altitude, pitch and yaw, then on the same line sets the roll to zero and the accuracy to 1

Yes, it as helped our projects greatly being able to include yw, pitch, roll now in the current Agisoft version.
