Title: Better GPU vs more CPU

Hi to all. My question is, would it be better to invest in a better GPU card for an already working configuration and to be more specific, in buying a GTX 1080 with a retail of approximate 500€ or try getting a new refurbished workstation at about the same price with some Xeon processor (e5-1620 4cores)? The extra PC would be utilized for network processing...

Hello cadm8,

What kind of projects you are processing and what are the longest steps (maybe you can also name general parameters for those tasks)? Also please specify your current configuration.
