Title: My DIY turntable
Post by: divinesjoseph on November 08, 2018, 10:50:27 AM
Hello! I'm from Brazil and I'm working on a turntable based rig.  I have 8 canon cameras (T3 and T3i). I think the best way for me to take a full body scan is to setup a stand with 4 pairs of cameras in line taking photos while the turntable rotates. What do you think?
Here is the beginig of my turntable prototype.

I've never tried it, but the idea i was having the other day was for a ring of 8-10 cameras suspended just above head height that descend under gravity while the subject stands still in the middle.

The descending cameras could also take a helical path downwards to simulate a more evenly distributed array.

I just think it would be tricky standing still enough on a rotating turntable, whereas the descending cameras could be moving very fast so long as the flashes can keep up.
