Just a shot in the dark, but do you use the same settings for the windows swap as before the rebuild?
Had the impression in the past that windows starts to swap RAM with a big swap file even if there is plenty of RAM left.

I haven't looked into this. Will takea look today

Having a weird issue with a very slow mesh build.
Before my PC rebuild it took about 4 minutes
Now after a new PC build to 18 core cpu it is estimating over 1 hour 12 minutes?!?!!

Project 110 cameras 26 mp
453722 points

Using latest agi 1.3.4 windblows
PC
7980XE 18 core overclocked
128GB Ram
1080Ti x 2  not in sli

Any ideas?!1  This is really whack ?

Hi
Great work on new release as always
I am having a bug where I edit masks then save the project but when I goto edit the next next mask i get an error of Cant read project masks.zip
Also I get a long load time on some masks that I havent worked on yet in project.

It may have something to do with I moved the project to a portable drive.  I initially worked on workstation.  Could be different drive letter issue or something.

Upon reloading the project it works again fine but I can repeat error every time

Currently testing Titan X Pascal in SLI
I bought the wrong HB bridge but tests with 2 cards installed are still terrible.
Has anyone else tried Titan X in SLI ?
What was your setup?

Im currently using a x79 rig with 3960X CPU oc @4.5ghz

Testing with the monument sample file on High quality and getting 532 seconds.  Which seems no faster than my 970 sli rig
Any suggestions?
Cheers

I am playing with a new Xeon too and noticed the speeds were dismal and found this thread.
I noticed my home system was considerably faster and that I needed to correct some settings to bring this Xeon workstation up to a reasonable speed.
The sample01.zip scene seems to run at a decent speed.  Its only when processing my own image set where it is a huge difference in processing speed
Image resolution of the sample images are 2184 x 1456 @ 32 images
My personal images are 5184 x 3456 @ 45 images

Xeon system - Dell Precision T3610 -
Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise
Intel Xeon CPU E5-1650 v2 @ 3.5GHz
32GB Ram 1866MHz
Quadro K4000 - 3GB

I changed settings to use 11/12 cores. Is this still correct practice?

Testing the sample01.zip scene on Xeon
Note : This seems to run at an ok speed.

align photos : High points 40,000 > 130.748 sec
build dense cloud : high > 248.198 sec
build mesh (dense cloud) 1,000,000 > 63.719 sec
build texture n/a
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Testing my own scene on Xeon

align photos : High points 40,000 > 296.753 sec
build dense cloud : high > 4790 sec  (took about 2 hours ?)
build mesh (dense cloud) 725sec
build texture 89 seconds

I will post the differences between the Xeon and my i7 from home.

Hi WishGranter
I have been benchmarking the new NVidia Drivers 306.23
previously on the 304 drivers i was getting this result.

I am running
i7-3820 @3.6GHz ..overclocked to 4.0GHz
32GB RAM
win7 64 version of 0.9.0 pre release

3 images and set to High Arbitrary  Smooth (100,000 polys)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
304.79 drivers
Device 1 performance: 118.964 million samples/sec (CPU)
Device 2 performance: 199.001 million samples/sec (GeForce GTX 680)
Total performance: 317.964 million samples/sec
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
306.23 drivers
Device 1 performance: 159.302 million samples/sec (CPU)
Device 2 performance: 265.46 million samples/sec (GeForce GTX 680)

General / SSD filling up after processing
« on: July 30, 2012, 08:24:35 AM »
Anybody else noticing their hard drive filling up after processing a large amount of images?
I find I have to restart windows to flush it out.
my SSD (C:Drive) filled up to almost full and after restarting windows I noticed 31GB flushed out.
Is AGI doing this .  Scratch disk etc ?

nutz !
I just sold my other cards too.  I should have kept them.  Perhaps NVidia will post a driver update soon for 680 ?
