General / Re: Stereoscopic viewport using hardware 3D?

Have you gone to nvidia control panel and added the photoscan application, explicity telling it to enable active stereo? I find most applications need this step, and then emitter goes bright green and you're good to go.

In my workflow, I use one set of photos for solving, and an altered set for texture projection.

After solve and densification,  I clone that directory and do a lot of tonal correction per image.

I close down photoscan, rename my altered folder to the original, then re-open photoscan. Is that what other people do?

I would find it useful to have within Photoscan to projection-photo folder(s) assigned per chunk.

I would also like to project the color from the altered photos onto the densified point cloud.  In my work I'm making use of attractive point clouds, not just meshes.

Does this sound feasible?

Thanks for the great software.

Feature Requests / texture info in workspace chunk view
« on: January 25, 2014, 06:16:37 AM »
I would like to have an icon and info of generated textures in the workspace chunkview.

When I re-open an old file I see my textured object, I'd like to see an item in workspace list representing the texture with relevant info e.g.

texture (generic, mosaic, size, color corrected)

For that matter... would it be possible to generate numerous textures all within the same chunk -- and then choose the active texture?

I tend to generate numerous maps with different projection, blending, and size variants.

At the moment I duplicate a chunk for every variation of texture I want to make.

Feature Requests / Re: Using PhotoScan as a Matchmoving Software

Actually this already works with .chan export

If you import this .chan file into a Houdini or Nuke camera, it will give you these transforms per frame.
Open up a .chan file in a text editor and you can see.

What you will not get in the .chan file is a reference to the original photo filename.

Feature Requests / Export depth for all photos

I would like to batch export depth maps for every photo per chunk.
