General / How to share a 3d textured model on a website?
« on: December 03, 2017, 11:09:14 PM »
Hi, I have an important question. please help me.

I want to make 3D textured models of some  products (like shoes, bags and etc...) with photoscan  to show them on my store website. My website is based on WordPress.

Does anyone have a solution in this regard?
Is there any plugin in this regard?

In addition, I want to upload a 3D model directly to the website, no use of any intermediary website.

Thank you very much.

General / How is the relationship between pixel pitch and precision?
« on: March 02, 2017, 11:24:07 PM »
Hi,
I have an important question. please help me.

How is the relationship between pixel pitch and precision of 3d models and orthophotos?

I think the larger the pixel pitch greater accuracy. Because this software will do modeling with sub-pixel accuracy. And the larger the pixel size receives more light and higher image quality. Is it right or not?

Some experts say the smaller the pixel size (pixel pitch), the better. Because smaller pixel dimensions on the ground.

In your opinion, which one is more correct?

Thank you very much.

Hi,
Can I use this software to 3d modeling of objects like a mobile phone?
These objects do not have a texture and I tried to model them with images, but I couldn't do it.

Could you help me to do this?
Thank you very much

General / Planar vs Geographic orthomosaic?!
« on: August 12, 2016, 01:09:09 PM »
HI, I have a question about orthomosaic generation.
I have a project with 30 hectar area and I want to Build Orthomosaic.
What is the exact different between Planar and Geographic projection in Build Orthomosaic?

Is it correct that when I want to use Geographic projection, I use Local UTM ground control point? or I must to use UTM coordinates?

Please clear me, Thank you very much.

General / How to take photos
« on: December 16, 2015, 10:10:17 PM »
Hi
I have a question about close range imagery (like 3D modeling of a building).
please tell me when I want to take photo which parameters (focus, f ,...)of my camera must be constant?!!
Is it important to fix the focal length?
what about the focus?

thank you very much

General / Re: Software for Creating Contours on huge Point clouds
« on: June 11, 2015, 10:42:07 AM »
Thanks to bigben and James.
I tried cloud compare, it is very powerful, but it just read 128 million points.
furthermore I tried surfer, but it is work very bad with huge number of points. (with a system with 8gig of Ram)

And my another question.
Which software can handle  over 200 million points to reducing the number of points?

General / Software for Creating Contours on huge Point clouds
« on: June 06, 2015, 09:17:48 AM »
Hi every one
Which software do you prefer to create contours on very dense and huge point clouds?
I have Autocad Civil 2009, but it did not read lot of point clouds (10 million or more), and another problem that I have is softness of the contours. My contours are not soft and it is very bad to show (like noisy).
please help me.
thanks.

General / Curvature of Model
« on: March 05, 2015, 08:43:12 PM »
Hi, I processed my aerial photos which captured by sony Nex-6 and I have a curved model. My area is not curved but my model is. My flight parameters are:
f=24 mm
forward overlap: 80%
side overlap: 60%
flight height: 120 m

Does every one has a solution for this?

Python and Java API / Re: How to create markers a specific image pixels
« on: February 27, 2015, 09:57:12 AM »
Hi Mr.Pasumansky
Excuse me, I am not familiar with python scripting. But I want to mark GCPs with a code to do this process very fast.
I have a lot of GCPs in pixel in image coordinate, and I want to mark them with a code, because I can not mark them with pointing them on the photos.
Could you give me a complete code and how to use that code for this action?
I know this is a big request, but I appreciate you if you help me.
Thank you very much.

Hi Alexey
I copy this code and pasted in the "Run Script" menu, but it did not work at all.
for example i wrote this code:
chunk.markers[1].projections[chunk.cameras[3]] = (1000,1000)

but I did not see any thing.
Please help me to do that, I need it severely. thank you very much.
