Can you import shapefiles to use as mask in PS

My experience, flying a single flightline is always problematic

Does photoscan use the YPR data from a Bramor log file or just the GPS coordinates?

General / Same job 2 weeks later, different scale?
« on: September 24, 2014, 09:44:19 PM »
Flew a job a couple of weeks ago, re-flew it this week. Extracted Orthos's, they look great individually but when you overlay them, different scale

General / inconsistent results
« on: September 18, 2014, 07:17:24 PM »
I am processing several agricultural fields, 3000+ images. I processed the lower section as one project and got good results. You can see form the picture the imagery overlays the clients SHP file data.
The upper portion when processed as one piece produced bad ghosting (double images) in certain areas so I processed it by individual fields. The fields looked good when viewed individually but when overlaid with each other and with the shapefile data there is obvious scale and rotation issues.
All data sets were processed with GPS camera information so the should have been accurate.
This is not the first time I have processed a project more than once and got different results

General / improve performance?

I currently have  dual 3.5 GHZ  QUAD core processors, 256 GB RAM, and an NVidia k4000 graphics card. Can I get any better performance with a Geforce gtx 680

General / orthophoto size

Is there a practical limit to the size of an exported orthophoto? It seems that when the size exceeds 4 GB the export fails

Can I import control from a Shape file rather than keying in coordinates for each point?

General / Markers without coordinates
« on: August 18, 2014, 09:35:37 PM »
is it possible to use marker with know ground coordinates to mark common points  on overlapping photos to increase accuracy? It would seem when I identify a marker it comes in with 00,00 coordinates

Why does my mosaic have a lower resolution than the individual images used to make it and is there a way around this?

I would be interested in looking at this as well. the current product doesn't seem suited to this

General / single line processing
« on: July 21, 2014, 06:05:41 PM »
is it possible to align photos if they are all part of a single flightline (80% overlap).I have tried running a single line but it doesn't align all the photos, in fact it seems to require 3 flightlines before it runs properly

General / optimize alignment
« on: July 15, 2014, 06:56:06 PM »
there is an option under BATCH to "optimize alignment" that has 7 options to it

fit f
fit aspect
fit cx, cy
fit skew
fit k1, k2, k3
fit p1,p2
fit k4

there is a yes or no option for each
where can I find out exactly what each of these variables are( what is cx,cy, k1...etc) and what effect will it have on the output file?

General / Re: image banding
« on: July 14, 2014, 06:09:08 PM »
the camera has a small angle because the UAV flies slightly nose up. The banding appears regardless of flight direction, (north-south vs east west). We get a similar issue over heavily forested areas where the ground itself is not evident.

General / image banding
« on: July 14, 2014, 05:24:34 PM »
I am having an issue with pronounced image banding. The initial problem was with adjacent flights flown in opposite directions. As a test I removed every other flightline and the image looked good in photoscan, but when I exported an Ortho without using color correction, I had a similar banding issue. Exporting with color correction seems to help.
Why am I seeing banding from flights flown in different directions, ( I should not have to throw out half my imagery)?
And why, when the banding is not present in the original file does it appear in the ortho if I don't use color correction?

Thanks
