General / Orthofoto with roof overhang
« on: July 07, 2017, 03:19:24 PM »
I have to compute an orthofoto from a UAV image set. Since there is a big roof overhang ( and I need the ground to the walls of the building) I have to eliminate the roof.
Classifying my point cloud and only respecting the ground points gave me a very blurry wall-ground transition. A similar result gave me the elimination of the corresponding polygons of the mesh.
Good results I get with masking the roof. But that is very time consuming since I have 4 roos in about 150 images.
Is there another way to achieve a good orthofoto or is there a way to mask the roof only in some images and "translate" the mask into the other?
Many thanks,
Mathias

Hello Alexey,
great!
But to change the color of the contours I have to rebuild them in 1.3?

In the latest build the button to switch the display of contour lines is missing an the (in 1.2) created contours are visible even in the point cloud (that's cool).

Sometime projects created with PS 1.2 open in write protection mode.
Why is this and how can I switch off the write protection mode?

Thank you.
For the sake of completeness: Bigger font size is just  CMD+"PLUS"

Hello,
ist there a way to change the font size of the console?
In 1.3 it is much bigger than in 1.2

Hello Alexey,
the Intel HD does not show up at all in my GPU list so I can not disable it. A Driver update is not available for Mac.
The Geforce GT 650M does have the latest driver installed.

Hello Alexey,
yes I have used this key for the previous pre-release. But activation did not work there due to problems writing the activation file.
And I have a new SSD in my computer with a clean install. So there is no old stuff on the SSD. Where should the license file be stored?
Unfortunately I do not have the the previous pre-release to deactivate it.

Another problem: I wanted to align photos for a spherical panorama and get this errors:

Hello Alexej,
I see the NVIDIA GPU in both settings, Max OS X oder NVIDIA Web driver, so it seems really not to make any difference (maybe I will drive some tests for speed).
But what is gone is the Intel HD Graphics 4000. Can it be reactivated as well?

Hello Alexey,

thank you. And should I work with the NVIDIA Web Driver or with the Default OS X Graphics Driver?
Which one will deliver better (faster) results?

No GPU is found anymore!
With PS 1.3.0 3520 the settings window for the GPUs is empty and console says that my graphic cards do not support SPIR.
I am on MacBookPro mid 2012 with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 MB.

General / Re: Importing shapes
« on: December 03, 2016, 11:23:17 PM »
Resolved!
The solution is the format of carriage return in the dxf-files.
My CAD exports dxf-files with Windows linefeed (CRLF) while Photoscan expects Unix linefeed (LF).
Just change the linefeed in an Editor and import works!

Hello,
which conditions must a dxf or she file have that it can be imported as shapes.
I exported shapes into my CAD (works very well), edit the shapes and export them again as dxf or shape file.
But Photoscan does not read the dxf shapes at all and the shp-file shapes come in at 0,0.
Can someone help me here?
Thank you.

General / Clipping shapes
« on: November 28, 2016, 08:53:46 PM »
Hello,
is there a way to clip shapes?
Mean that I want to draw an adjacent shape to an existing one and I do not want to draw the adjacent border twice.
In GIS and CAD-Systems there is the possibility to clip these two shapes.
Can I do that in Photoscan?
Thank you
