Hi Alexey

Thank you for your fast reply (as usual here). Really appreciate that!

I'd like to delete the files automatically using a script or a programm. In the explorer I see the the thumbnails and the depth maps folder. Is the the file containing the orthorecified images usually called images0.zip?

General / Optimising storage consumption for archived projects

Hi all!

In my company we are often dealing with photoscan projects containing 10'000 images. Needless to say, that we need terabytes of storage for those projects. Moreover they regularly get backed up, what causes additional traffic.

Therefore my question: Are there any files in the project file, which can be deleted as soon as a project is considered as finished and before it gets archived on the archive server (apart from depth maps)?

Thanks for your help!

Is this technology also applicable for  the ebee from sensefly? Or does it need further hardware?

While investigating further I came across this wikipage: http://wiki.agisoft.com/wiki/Hardware

According to this page it might be the best choice to buy three GeForce GTX 980 Ti. I usually use "high" as setting.

Does anybody knows roughly the gain in speed using one, two or three additional GPU's?

General / Upgrading GPU Power

Hi all,

I'm currently working on huge projects, so I need much more GPU power.
At the moment one Titan X 12GB  is installed, but I have three more slots and also enough cooling for three additional graphic cards.

The current specs of my computer are:

CPU: 2 x E5-2680V3
Ram: 256GB 2133MHz
Grafik: ASUS GTX Titan X 12GB
SSD1: 128GB 850 PRO, System
SSD2: 1TB 850 PRO, Pagefile
SSD3: 2TB Data
Power: 2000Watt Redundant, Titanium Level

The budget is somewhere at 1500 Euros. I guess it makes more sense to buy three cheap graphic cards than one expensive one?

Are there any up to date recommendations for graphic cards especially for photoscan?

You have to switch to the Ortho view by double-clicking on the orthomosaic/DEM label in the Workspace pane.
There it works.

edit:
I have seen that you do not have an DEM. Create this one first.

Thanks a lot. but unfortunately still the same error message in the console  :-\

Hi Alexey,

that was quick :)

The script is attached.

Hi everyone,

Wanted to try out this script because it may cover my needs. Unfortunately i get the error message "SyntaxError: Non-UTF-8 code starting with '\xe4' in file O:/UAV/_Allgemein/python scripts/MarkerOrtho.py on line 119, but no encoding declared; see http://python.org/dev/peps/pep-0263/ for details" in the console.

The link there does not help me further since programming is not my thing.

best,

Peter
