Hi Alex,
Any comments on this?

I heard pix4d has the correction for rolling shutter correction.

thanks.

Thank you for your reply! It is very useful!

I appreciate your time!

Hello olivine,

You can find the description of the distortion model in PhotoScan Manual:
http://www.agisoft.com/pdf/photoscan-pro_1_2_en.pdf

Thank you Alexey.

I have read the manual. Two questions for you:
1/the .lcp file is:

I can only find fx, fy, k1, k2, k3 directly.

What are cx, cy, skew, k4, p1, p2, p3, p4?

2/Assume we have all the parameters, is the DEM generated by Dji Phantom 4 camera reliable for topographic research?

A separate question is:
If there is no GPS info in the images, will Photoscan still be able to align the photoes? Take longer time?

Alexey, could you plz comment on that?

Thanks

Hi
The Adobe Lightroom has new update in June. I have uploaded the lens correction profile files of dji phantom 4 fcc330.

How should I fill the Calibration parameters list in photoscan for all the images taken by phantom 4? What are the values for the following parameters:

fx, fy

cx, cy

skew

k1, k2, k3, k4

p1, p2, p3, p4

I am new to this field, and I feel there are parameters missing from the .lcp files.

Thank you in advance!

Hi guys,
I bought a dji phantom 4 in order to generate high resolution DEM.

I took some images yesterday, and can not align them well. Only 7 of 30 images are aligned. All of them were labeled NC, which means not calibrated (from the manual).

I tried to get an Adobe Lightroom, but there is no lens distortion correction for phantom 4.

My questions are:
1)Is it necessary to make lens distortion correction before importing the images to photoscan?

2)How much will the final result be affected without these correction? If the errors of DEM due to this issue are within several centimeters, I don't think it is a big issue.

An separate question is (Maybe I should ask in Dji's forum, but I would like to try here as well):
The minimum time interval for jpg is 5 seconds, while 10 seconds for raw file. However, we need 80% forward overlap, this time interval is not small enough. Is there a way to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance!
