In the first drop-down menu under diffuse,normal & AO
You'll need to have a high poly mesh to bake on the lower poly mesh just like for AO & Normal maps.

Hi Alexey

It is slower in any situation. With the internal AMD it's less noticeable because, with any eGPU, only the internal GPU seems to be used often but, however, it's a lot slower than version 1.8.4. The external eGPU's have very small periods of usage. With only one, two or three eGPU's, with or without the internal AMD active, things are slower after 8% of the ongoing task. The problem seems to be in the kernels building and loading step. Try to see what's the diference in code between the 1.8.4 and 2 version, in this step, because 1.8.4 it's working just fine.

Your GeForce GTX 1650 has to go. It is way to underpowered compared to the rest of the system. It was already a gimped low end SKU when released in 2019. Aim for an Nvidia RTX 3070 / AMD Radeon 6700XT.

Bug Reports / AMD RDNA2 GPUs compute units

Alexey,

Not sure if this is an actual bug or driver issue..but I noticed that the number of compute units reported/detected by Metashape is half of what's actually supposed to be on AMD RDNA2 GPUs ( a 6700XT in my case).
Metashape reports 20 Compute Units instead of 40.
I'm not even sure if performance is affected at all btw.
Windows 10 with the latest Radeon 22.3.1 WHQL drivers.

Edit: Looks like a driver thing. Every another OpenCL app I tested is reporting the same thing (20 Compute Units).
My Radeon VII  (Vega arch GPU) is correctly reported as having 60 Compute Units. Performance doesn't seem to be affected from what I can see (the 6700XT is constantly slightly faster than the Radeon VII)

Hello Mak,

If you have the project that can be used to reproduce the problem on our side, please send it to support@agisoft.com. It is sufficient to have aligned cameras, tie points and mesh model in the project contents.

This is a byproduct of the latest version of the meshing algorithm.
It gives a cleaner topology but does look like that unless you crank up the poly count or reconstruct at a higher setting.
