I use Sparse Cloud when i generate the DEM for the Ortophoto. genretates less (almost none) )artifacts in the photo.
My goal is alway to have 80% forvard fligt overlap and between 65-75% side overlap. at volymetric flights I fly crossgrid and at 5m/sek @ 120meter (150) height, and that will result in 90/90% overlap. But is werry unesseserry.

When I generate Dense Cloud i always use MILD filtering. too mutch of the details is removed for me.

If you give me an not to big set I can see what i can generate for you, and see what parameter to use.

Yes an email with the related data is sent to support adress.

The Agisoft version was Agisoft 1.2 and Metshape 1.7.

I have tryed all different qualety settings in Metashape, non of them look like Agisoft dence cloud.

See the differance with the same settings in all steps on both versions.

General / Differance in point cloud from old Agisoft and Metrashape
« on: February 26, 2021, 12:11:18 PM »
Hi

I noticed an differance in point cloud from old Agisoft and new metashape.
Im creating point clowk over an low forest area <5meters height of trees, and the tops of trees gets shopped off/rounded in metashape.
I'm running the same settings, well there arent that many settings to choose from more thatn qualety and filtering.
I have run both in meduim and mild.

Metashape produced a whole lot less noice than old agisoft witch is good.

Any ideas? Whats should I do differant?

Allign photos, medium, reference, Key 40'000, Tie 4000. Photo accuracy 0,1meter.
Optimize cameras
Build dense clud, medium quality, mild depth filtering.

I get differant output with lower height on trees in Metashape.

If you export it as tiled 1024*1024, jpeg with world file do you get the same problem as I have when I export?
The empty tiles with background color dosent get an world file.

This would be helpful to figure out my problem.

Hi Alex!

Nope it has nothing to do with the NAS/network drives.

I have the error if I export to jpeg but not TIFF... So I think they are related.

I dident have this problem with version 1.4.3  witch was ther prevously one we used, gonna try to reinstall the old 1.4.3 version an see if its still a problem.

installed the newest version still the same problem..

Plus i get this new "error"

Translated into; Cant acess file due to that it is used by an other operation (32)

But I get the files, but with the same result in blank tiles without world files.
