General / RTK accuracy when processing multispectral
« on: January 11, 2023, 08:28:27 AM »
Hi
I am processing multispectral data gathered with an Altum PT on an M300 with RTK using Metashape pro.
When adding data using this procedure including ticking the "Load camera location accuracy from XMP meta data" box" - "https://agisoft.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000161735-dji-with-rtk-coordinates-data-processing" I am seeing 10M accuracy. See attached. I have done this with RGB data and had centimetre accuracy.
Am I missing something here? Any suggestions appreciated.
Cheers, Peter

General / Images of water at a river mouth
« on: October 17, 2016, 11:44:00 AM »
I am trying to put together an ortho of sand banks at a shallow river mouth so the local coast guard can look for a channel to navigate through to deeper water. I am acquiring the images with flights using a multicopter at 300 - 400 feet.

The water is clear enough and shallow enough to see the undulations in the sand under the water. However the images will not stitch together unless there is a land feature in the image. Is there a way around this issue?

I am using Mission Planner by Ardupilot which records coordinates then puts them on the images.

General / Distorted ortho?

I am using a drone for basic survey work. The image I am producing seems quite inaccurate when overlayed on Google Earth - see attachment.
I'm not sure if the issue is in the image capture with the drone or in the processing with Photoscan.
How can I resolve which it is and how to fix it?
