Feature Requests / Automatic pause on process if not enough disk space
« on: April 02, 2019, 10:59:00 AM »
Hi,

Would be nice if Metashape could pause calculation process automatically if there is no enough free disk space. Then user could make more free space and continue calculation. There has been couple unpleasant surprises after couple days calculation.

Python and Java API / Re: Rotate Region by a specific angle
« on: March 21, 2019, 02:03:42 PM »
Hello,

I would like to modify this script:

https://github.com/agisoft-llc/metashape-scripts/blob/master/src/bounding_box_to_coordinate_system.py

I want ability to rotate bounding box in Z-axis (around center). With angles if possible. Would be cool if script ask user to give certain angle for Z-axis (0-360).
My projects are in real world referenced coordinates.

I have tried to solve this, but I have no luck so far. Can somebody help me how to solve this? I'm not very good with scripting.

Thanks!

I like to try new import point cloud feature.

How I should make my point clouds when using normals? Right now I'm trying to make ASC-file with normals and convert it to PTS. What I should use as separator(tabulation, comma, semicolon, space)? How about Decimal chart (point, comma)?

Now my PTS file looks like this (X,Y,Z, R, G, B, normals). Space as separator:
4653.735 -227.037 3.138 97 79 59 0.075 0.045 0.996

I tried calculating normals in Photoscan but it seems to take very long time. Never finished it.

Bug Reports / Re: change path for multiple photos

In Photoscan if you click "show info" on portrait or landscape image (right click menu), it shows image size is: 6000x4000. Lightroom/Photoshop it shows resolution for portrait: 4000x6000 and landscape 6000x4000.

btw: Photoscan cannot find images (via change path) if they have spaces in filenames. Then you have to select filetype manually.

Did you find solution for "image mismatch" problem with portrait images? I tried follow this tutorial:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovQWBq2htKQ&app=desktop

I used Adobe Lightroom to add more contrast to images, then save images to different folder, but same filename (cases are same size). When I try to change image path in Photoscan it gives error message: "image mismatch". This happens only with portrait images. Landscape images are fine. I did not rotate images.
